New NUFF SAID compilation.
The follow up to the recently released compilation from the Melbourne based label Nuff Said 'In Case You Didn't Know', comes another quality collection. Once again at least half of the artists haven't appeared before on wax or CD. Some veterans like Bob Balans, Lazy Grey, Clandestein, Solomon Theta (ex-Klepto) & Briztronix bring attention with their names & the results are spot on. Others include a track from both South African emcee Tumi, New Jersey resident Shawn Lov (who both have a previously released album on the label) as well as a track from Santa Cruz fellas, Genelec & Memphis Reign. The only female representative is Stahhr (The Femcee) from Hotlanta, GA. So it's not a strictly Australian collection. more an insight into the label's catalogue & international reach. The association with the Richmond located store This is It has enabled them to keep in contact with customers who hand the lads behind the counter demo tapes. They can also record thier vocals in the store using the often used vocal booth. Head honch & RDC member Prowla cannot restrain himself & his input is all over this selection. If it isn't on production it's all over the turntables. The FTA track is a nicely executed ode to scratching with some extremely sharp patterns. So I had to include it for your pleasure. I also thought the new crew Cheapskate's track 'Melbourne City' was a dope introduction to the city.
